Vom Ron Philosophy

Vom Ron is primarily a breed preservationist kennel. We don't seek to ”IMPROVE” the breed with steep or roached toplines, crooked and overangulated hind legs, or nervous temperaments. The ideal here is to keep the breed as the breed founder, Capt. Max Von Stephanitz created it; no extremes in conformation, a sound mind in a sound body.

This is the breed that is to be first and foremost a working dog. This means to be sound of body, steady of nerve, trainable and adaptable. My bloodlines consist of my personal dogs. These I imported from Czech Republic as puppies and raised and trained them here at home rather than sending them away for training. These dogs are primarily Czech Border Patrol bloodlines which have been developed and honed to near perfection through decades of stringent selection by superlative trainers in Czech Republic. The selection ethic of these great dog men reflects a quote from father of the breed Capt. Max Von Stephanitz' book , THE GERMAN SHEPHERD DOG: "The breeding of [German] Shepherd dogs means the breeding of working dogs."
